Living near Gettysburg, Pa., Buck Buchanan has
spent many hours walking the battlefield, leading bicycle tours and
researching its well documented history. He will be joining us via Zoom
to share his insights on the Battle of Gettysburg with emphasis on the
Fight for Culp's Hill. The fight for Culp's Hill may not be as
well-known as other clashes during the three days of fighting in July
1863 but Buchanan contends it is equally as important and even more
interesting. He will tell the story of perseverance and highlight the
dedication and bravery of those fighting for both sides for a cause they
believed in.
Buck Buchanan may be remembered for his presentation of "The Helicopter War in Vietnam" made to LLL two years ago. Along with his military service, he has been an elected member of his borough's council for 33 years, and a police commissioner for the Southern Regional Police Department for 26 years.
