Listen to Ben Clary's message and learn about our nearby neighbor, the non-profit JAARS (Jungle Aviation and Radio Services) activities. JAARS exists to make Bible translation and language development possible, especially in the most remote and difficult places on earth. They accomplish this by enabling locally-appropriate and sustainable solutions in transportation, technology, media, and training. Sometimes, they're boots are on the ground (or in the air, or on the water). Other times, they're providing expertise, training, logistical support, research and development, project management, or funding. In all cases, they're working hand-in-hand with global field partners to identify, design, test, refine, and implement solutions that can transform people's lives and communities as they experience God's Word in their own language.

Ben & his wife Diane have been members of Wycliffe Bible Translators for 50 years. They initially served in the country of Papua New Guinea, where their two daughters grew up and attended school.  Ben served initially as a JAARS radio technician while Diane served in the accounting office.  After seven years, Ben moved into Administrative and Personnel positions.

While their daughters were attending university the Clary's served a couple years in the Wycliffe home office and then five years in the Wycliffe and Summer Institute of Linguistics International office.  Following this, they left for an Islamic, West Asian country where they served 13 years.  Ben as the Administrative Assistant to the Director for seven years and then three years as the Director.  Diane served as the bookkeeper/accountant and ran the accounting office. The Clarys returned to the U.S. in 2007 and took up positions at JAARS where they serve at present — Ben as church and community relations assistant and Diane as a clerk in the JAARS Gift Shop.
