Oak Ridge: Stories of the Secret City

Stories from the Secret City is a multi-media presentation heavily laced with storytelling and including responses to audience questions.The primary focus will be on the amazing history of Oak Ridge, TN, a secret city built to help win World War II. Emphasis will also be placed on the continued vital roles Oak Ridge facilities have played through the past 75 years in support of our nation's national security and basic scientific research and development that continues to have worldwide impact.
The message will be conveyed through the use of the amazing photography of Ed Westcott, Manhattan Project Photographer. Ed's iconic black and white photography brings the history of the Manhattan Project's Clinton Engineer Works to life. Videos will feature the John Hendrix Story and the Ed Westcott, Photographer documentary film.
The Manhattan Project National Historical Park, established in November, 2015, will also be included in the presentation with insights into the implementation strategy and status at the three sites of Los Alamos, NM, Hanford, WA, and Oak Ridge, TN.
