Who We Are and What We Do
The purpose of the Club is to provide Club members and the community with opportunities gather socially and to study the Bible together.
The Club is non-denominational and is not affiliated with any church. You do not need to be a Club member to attend any of our studies or social activities. Visiting family and friends are always welcome; however, if you bring a non-resident guest to amenity activities, we ask that you abide by the SCCL guest policies.
Sunday Morning Fellowship
The Bible Study Club hosts the Sunday Morning Fellowship every Sunday morning in the Lake House from 10:30-11:30 for singing, teaching, and fellowship. On occasion, we gather at the Lodge. Please check for email updates. This is a casual, non-denominational service for the community. Visiting family and guests are also welcome, but please sign in non-resident visitors at the desk. You do not need to be a Club member to attend.
Thursday Afternoon Bible Study
Led by Dr. Floyd Elmore, our Pastor-in-Residence, we host a Thursday afternoon study from 4:00-5:00 PM (Sep-May) in the Lake House. Over the last 17 years, we have pretty much covered Genesis through Revelation. But regardless of the topic, it's always new to someone. All are welcome.
Small Group Studies
We have small group studies for men and women. We also have mixed groups that include singles and couples. Please feel free to contact any of the group leaders for more information.

Dr. Floyd Elmore, a pastor, missionary, seminary professor, and Bible translator, is our teacher on Thursday evenings (Sep-May). Floyd is also serving as our community Pastor-in-residence. Club Donations
We are a cash Club and do not have a Club checking account or an IRS tax ID. All donations to the Club must be in cash. Our overhead needs are minimal, so we try to keep $500 or less on hand for incidental expenses. Anything over that amount, we will donate to a local charity.
