PUBLIC SAFETY SUBCOMMITTEE ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Public Safety Subcommittee was established to identify public safety and security

issues within the Community, research alternatives, and recommend solutions to the

Facilities Committee:

1. Identify the best possible, cost-effective solutions to community safety issues.

2. Invite outside experts to present at subcommittee meetings on specific topics, as needed, to gain further knowledge of value to the community.

3 Communicate with the residents.

3. Recommend safety enforcement actions required by the governing documents.

4. Review and recommend to Facilities the SCCL Emergency Action Plan (EAP) and

Catastrophe Action Plan (CAT).

5. Develop a Resident Safety Awareness Campaign. ( ex: Monthly Public Safety in Living magazine.)

6. Provide educational information to the Residents to foster awareness of issues

affecting their safety and security.

7. Meet at least monthly in an open business meeting to hear Resident concerns and

conduct subcommittee business.
